Welcome to the Hobart Knights American Football Club, a proud and passionate community centered around American football right here in Hobart, Tasmania.
As we gear up for our 11th season, we carry with us a legacy of determination, teamwork, and excellence. Over the years, our club has risen to the challenge and clinched the Gridiron Tasmania State Championship an impressive 6 times, showcasing our commitment to the sport and our drive to succeed.
Our journey is a testament to the spirit of the Knights, a team that not only plays to win but also to inspire and unite through the love of the game. Join us as we continue to write our story, one touchdown at a time.
2024 Coaching Staff
Our coaching team is composed entirely of dedicated volunteers who bring a diverse range of experience levels to the field. From seasoned veterans of the game to enthusiastic newcomers passionate about coaching, our team embodies the spirit of community and the love for American football.
These volunteer coaches invest their time and energy to mentor our players, combining their unique perspectives and insights to create a rich learning environment.
Their commitment goes beyond just tactics and plays; they are committed to nurturing the personal and athletic growth of each player, fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and perseverance.
HEAD COACH - Mike Hall
Coach Hall is the Head Football Coach of The Knights
Involved in American Football in Australia since 2000, Coach Hall brings significant experience to the team, both as a player at club and representative level, and as a coach.
Now in his 4th year as Head Coach of the Knights, he is the longest serving head coach of the Knights.
Coach Hall is passionate about seeing players develop both on and off the field.
OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR - Luke Chamberlain
Coach Chamberlain has a depth of playing experience both in Australia and Europe. An unfortunate injury sadly cut his playing days short.
Since then Coach Chamberlain has been the Running Backs Coach at the Knights and in 2024 has stepped into the Offensive Coordinator position.
Coach Chamberlian is passionate about American Football and keen to answer all your questions.
DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR - Angus Baillie
Coach Baillie has been a Knight since his days as a junior. A representative player and a muli-time Defensive MVP at the Knights Coach Baillie enters his first year in a coordinator position in 2024.
Coach Baillie has strong coaching experience having coached the defensive backs at the Knight’s for multiple seasons.
