Welcome to the Hobart Knights American Football Club, a proud and passionate community centered around American football right here in Hobart, Tasmania.
As we gear up for our 12th season, we carry with us a legacy of determination, teamwork, and excellence. Over the years, our club has risen to the challenge and clinched the Gridiron Tasmania State Championship an impressive 7 times, showcasing our commitment to the sport and our drive to succeed.

2025 Coaching Staff
Our coaching team is composed entirely of dedicated volunteers who bring a diverse range of experience levels to the field. From seasoned veterans of the game to enthusiastic newcomers passionate about coaching, our team embodies the spirit of community and the love for American football.
These volunteer coaches invest their time and energy to mentor our players, combining their unique perspectives and insights to create a rich learning environment.
Their commitment goes beyond just tactics and plays; they are committed to nurturing the personal and athletic growth of each player, fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and perseverance.
HEAD COACH & OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR - Mike Hall
Coach Hall is the Head Football Coach of The Knights
Involved in American Football in Australia since 2000, Coach Hall brings significant experience to the team, both as a player at club and representative level, and as a coach.
Now in his 5th year as Head Coach of the Knights, he is the longest serving head coach of the Knights.
Coach Hall is passionate about seeing players develop both on and off the field.
DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR - Adam Weeding
Coach Weeding returns in season 2025 to oversee the Knights Defense. Coach Weeding brings many many years of experience of football in Tasmania and is looking to bring his brand of old school tough defense back to the Knights.
